Tuition

Tuition, discounts, and payment policies for 2009-2010 School Year

This document applies to the Fall 2008 semester. The Center expects 13 Sunday and 13 Friday school days during the semester, starting September 12 and ending December 14, 2008. The schedule may be adjusted due to weather-related closures and other unforeseen circumstances.

Payment procedure

The Center will invoice families for applicable tuition and materials fees. There will be three invoices this semester, each covering four or five school weeks. The first invoice will go out around September 20, 2008 and will include the materials fee in addition to the first installment of the tuition payment. Invoices are delivered electronically via the primary family email on file with the Center.

Invoices are due upon receipt. Cash, check, and credit card payments (via paypal.com) are accepted. Prompt payments are a prerequisite for admission. If payments are delayed, the Center will have to add late payment fees.

Tuition costs and discounts

Tuition for all Russian and Math classes is $12 per lesson. Tuition for all Music classes is $10 per lesson. In addition to tuition, each class has a $10 "materials fee" per student, per semester. There is no general registration fee.

Volume discounts

The Center offers 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% discounts to families paying for 3, 4, 5, and 6 (or more) lessons each week, respectively. The discount is taken off the total family tuition amount for the corresponding billing period. These "volume" discounts are offered to all families, regardless of the number of kids in the family. No special "sibling" discount is offered as volume discounts already accommodate families with siblings that tend to pay for more lessons.

Finders credit

In addition to the "volume" discounts mentioned above, the Center offers a $25 tuition credit to any registered family that brings a new family to the Center. Both families have to pay for the remaining part of the semester for the credit to take effect. If requested, the "finders" credit can be split among several qualified families.

Missed or canceled classes

No discounts are offered for missed lessons as Center costs do not decrease when a child skips a day. Moreover, irregular attendance affects other families taking the same class because it has a negative affect on the education process.

There is no charge for lessons canceled by the Center.

Satisfaction guarantee

The Center strives to deliver high-quality education and offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee: If a family is not satisfied with a class, promptly notifies the Center, and drops out from that class after attending the first lesson or two, all invoice charges for that class are waived.

Footnotes

The Center is a Colorado non-profit. Tuition is the primary source of income that covers teacher salaries, classroom rent, and other teaching-related expenses. Your prompt payment is appreciated.

This policy may be adjusted to better reflect changing Center realities. Feedback regarding this policy and related improvement ideas are welcome.
